Restoring a 1968 Porsche 911L

I don't believe that I'm finally doing a finish page for this project! We still have a few things to tweak and work on but it is finished and it looks absolutely gourgeous!! We just took 1st place this weekend in full Porsche club concours in Sacramento.

Car is all original. Color is light ivory (helfenbein), single stage acrylic urethane. The engine is an original US spec 901/14, sandcast aluminum case, with original Weber 40IDAs and ECCS smog equipment. All smog equipment was restored to be visually correct. It was made non-operational. Pistons are JE 2.0, 9.8:1 All machine work and case modifications were completed by Jay Robinson at Jay's Precision Machine in Santa Clara, CA. Original forged Fuchs alloy wheels were restored and refinished by Harvey Weidman, Orville, CA. They wear Michelin rubber. Interior is all original including original "elephant hide" grain vinyl (the only year for this vinyl!). The current front seats are temporary. They were removed from a part's car (912) and restored so that we could finish the car in time for the shows. Original seats are being restored as we speak.
