Restoring a 1968 Porsche 911L

October turned out to be fruitful and the weather worked to our favor. Didn't start dipping into the 40s at night until the first of November so we really lucked out and ended up getting the entire car into ZeroRust. Shown here is the restoration done to the back tray by Rick's friend Mark who happens to be trained as a welder (that's always nice).

Here we are doing two things at once: cutting and fitting back tray metal and stripping the rear fenders of undercoat. Another shot of us in a typical Saturday workday. Mark cutting and fitting metal to fit the rear tray area.

Here's Mark checking the fit of the new piece. Here he is grinding a little more metal off for a good fit. Here's Rick cleaning the edges of burrs before Mark welds the new peice in.

Here's Mark doing his thing. "Ah, love that blue glow" "Well I'd say that looks pretty good".

Rick: When is my car going to be done? The welding continues on the right side tray. The finished tray.
